Missing LH surge on clomid

I’m currently on cylcle 2 of clomid. I’m 42 and typically have been experiencing normalish ovulation but my doctor put me on clomid in hopes it will help with my extremely short luteal phase

My typical cycle is a very strong positive LH surge usually around day 12. However I don’t get egg white cervical mucus. Last cycle prior to starting clomid, ovulation was confirmed via blood test.

BUT…ever since I started clomid my LH surge has been low to non existent for both clomid cycles. My blood test last cycle did not show positive for ovulation and my cycle was just as short as ever (21 days, 8-9 day luteal phase). Has anyone experienced this on clomid? I was 50mg cycle 1 and 100mg cycle 2.

This is my last shot before we go to IVF and was really getting my hopes up that I’d see some sort of change. Sigh.
