Early scan worries

I went today to the early pregnancy unit for a scan as I spent the previous day in a&e after having some heavy read bleeding. The bleeding is still going on but the scan revealed I have a bleed internally ( synchronic). The scan showed I was only 5 weeks gestation rather than 6 as I thought. The scan showed a gestational sac and yolk but no feral pole. The sonographer said it is very early but I did the right thing to come in because of the persistent bleeding. I’ve gotta go back now in 10 days to be re scanned and see whether there’s been any development or if it’s viable.

Has anyone ever been in this situation before?
