Me and my partner had our first appointment yesterday with the fertility clinic and it was honestly one of the worst experiences in my life. The doctor took one look at us and straight away said they can't help us because we are so overweight. Then went on to say how can we possibly take care of a child being overweight. Went on to say about my partner who needs a walking stick due to some medical issues. She sent for a semen analysis and said don't be surprised if comes back abnormal. She looked at my BMI and said if mine is high my partners is considerably much more. She was shocked that my cholesterol is perfect and sent a referral to the dietitian and told us to start exercising. Then after we have done all that they will see us again and that we are now discharged. Any questions we asked she kept ignoring them and attacking the weight. Felt like I was a child in school being bullied. We got back to the car and I nearly cried it was so bad.
