Update about MIL, she is now here comparing my baby this time instead of me.

My baby did not like my MIL. Not sure why but I think I know few reasons why.

1. Separation Anxiety that my MIL don’t know what is all about.

2. My baby can feel my anxiousness against her.

3. The way she communicate to my babe is just bizarre. Telling him negative phrases and she talks so fast and loud (which I personally don’t like)

4. She plays peek-a-boo with him with such a scary face instead of a friendly warmly surprise face.

These has been addressed of course by my husband but she still does the same like she was never told all about it. Then she feels bad she cannot hold my son.

My son wasn’t like this to other visitors. He does take few minutes to adjust. But doesn’t take days that also made him don’t wanna be left alone with MIL or don’t wanna be put down when MIL is close to him. It bother me because instead of getting things done, I can’t get anything done at all.

I told her today that her grandson wasn’t like this to Grandpa and other people. I’m pretending to not know why. Then she told me “you made me feel like I am failing”. I did not respond because I want that to sink in to her after all the advices we gave and still she did not do any adjustments.

My son also tried to approach her many times but she just approach him in not so baby friendly way.

She also told me that baby who was breastfed was more attached to their mom. So I responded to her that my SIL who has 4 kids. 2 of her kids I played with alone and no problem. And she said well every baby is different. Deep in my head “exactly” they are not all the same. And I compare one of my SIL babies again than one of her babies did not like to be with me at all and she said “because she was breastfed and shy”.

Take not y’all. I did breastfed for 6 months along with formula and now formula exclusively since my milk had dropped.

Please tell me some enlightenment about this or this is an intentional attack again.
