san diego trip - how to dress children?

hey you all! i’m taking my daughters (20m and 4m) to San Diego next week. i’m unsure how to dress them! the high is going to be about 76 degrees and the low is somewhere in the mid 60s. we live in Phoenix, AZ so that is borderline winter weather for us 🤣 
anyways, any insight on what type of clothing i should pack for my girls? 
if you have any recommendations for things to do while we are out there, i’d greatly appreciate that too!

The sun in San Diego when we go is usually shining making things feel warmer but when we go I pack both short sleeve and pants/light jackets because evens are usually cooler and sometimes overcast days on the beach can be cold with the wind. But if the sun is out 76 feels warm!

I live in San Diego. Really depends where you’re going to be. San Diego is huge! Could be a 10-15 degree difference from coast to inland. Definitely dress in layers. Direct sun can be hot but as shade can be very cool.

I’m in Tucson, went to San Diego for my daughters bday last year, which was Halloween time. That temp actually sounds nice and good lol, I’d take pants and regular shirts but bring extra sweaters in case it does get cold. I don’t think there much of a need to take like sweats or Winter clothing since the low is probably talking about night time. If you feel better taking that though, then you can.

Dress them comfy and make sure bring extra warm clothes if its get cold.
