Ditching the dummy with a VERY stubborn 2 year old!

My son is 2 years and 2 months old. As time goes by he seems to get more attached to his dummy (pacifier). Everyday I try to hide it a little throughout the day, when he realises it’s gone, he sticks his tongue out and cries, indicating for his dummy. Sometimes I try to prolong it and keep him busy with other things but he goes insane, he heats up really fast, his cries become unbearable and I’m pregnant too so it’s really hard for me. I eventually give in.

Does anyone have realistic tips for a stubborn toddler who won’t let go? I can’t do the whole dummy fairy because he doesn’t quite understand that yet. I really need some tips. If anyone know of a good forum or online place for advice regarding this I would appreciate it!
