I say read if for yourself first. If it's as bad as the reviews say, then alert your church. If it's not bad then no harm no file. I say this because the interpretation of any book is subject to the reader. Many may say the book is abusive because of their past childhood experiences or trauma. I haven't read it myself so I can't speak or advise beyond this. I pray that you receive direction.
