Bottle sterilizer or no?

Question

Is a bottle sterilizer really that more convenient than just boiling water and sterilizing bottles that way? Trying to figure out if I should go buy one.

In all honesty the only time I boiled anything was when it was new. Then I just threw it into the dishwasher because ours gets hot enough to sterilize. So no you don't absolutely need a bottle sterilizer. Now if I didn't have a dishwasher, I'd probably buy one.

I had one which was a sterilizer and bottle warmer. I never used it as a sterilizer. Boiled on the stove after every use at least the nipples. My lil one had thrush so that's why I did it as least until he was about 9 months.

The microwave sterilizers are super cheap and easier than boiling

I bought one and it ended up being a counter top decoration. I did not sterilize anything after the first use and we use the dishwasher to wash all our bottles

I wouldn't buy one. Boiling is just fine. All the ones I found don't actually dry the bottles so you have to take them out and let them air dry or dry them with a towel. Once they come out of the sterilizer they are not technically sterile anymore since the air isn't sterile. I've always boiled after taking them out of the package and like once a week. Otherwise the dishwasher or even hot soapy water is enough. However, if babe is a premie they might recommend sterilizing more often like after every use
