So with my first born,, my blood pressure was very good until I was about 6 months pregnant. I never had high blood pressure before pregnancy,, only during. The blood pressure was not super high tho… it was pretty normal and they never prescribed be baby aspirin. I also had to give birth 3 weeks early with my first and have an induction.. but I would say my high blood pressure wasn’t so bad. With my second I am 15 weeks now and I asked my doctor if my high blood pressure will happen again later if I had it with my first?.. and she said most likely it will so she will prescribe me baby aspirin and I have to take it everyday so it might or might not happen again. What freaked me out is that she said it’s like a blood thinner and I’m pretty freaked out about that. I’m not sure why… pills that thin blood freak me out and I feel like it’s harmful to me or the baby? Does anyone know if me taking the baby aspirin will actually help?? And is their any side affects to it? Will it affect me later in pregnancy or after? Will it affect me if I want to have a 3rd baby? I’m someone who never takes pills even if it’s low dosage.. even Advil I never take or any of the “harmless” stuff.
