discharge

so i was having sex with my boyfriend tonight and everything was going good till he saw the all the discharge ( i’ve been having a lot more lately) after that he stopped and just started kissing me and he wasn’t hard anymore. it made me feel like it was because of the discharge like he got grossed out or something, now i feel insecure and i don’t know what to do. is it normal to have a lot of discharge? i’m a couple days away from starting my period.
