Riley… boy or girls name?

I know it is a unisex name but there seems to be a cultural difference and it’s causing arguments 🙈 in the UK it’s always mostly been a boys name but US seems to be more girls so… what’s your opinion? 😊

I know both a girl and a boy with this name. I personally like it more for a girl.

If you’re based in the UK and having a girl, don’t do it to her, she’ll be bullied. It’s a boys name here and kids don’t understand that names can be unisex and don’t realise how mean they can be to others. Ultimately you’ll do what you want but know you’re probably making her life harder, at least in her formative years.

I’ve only known female Rileys in the US.

I’m in the US, and it’s unisex. I mostly see girls with the name, but I wouldn’t bat an eye at a boy with the name. It’s sort of like Avery. There are more girls with the name, but I’ve seen a few boys with it too, and it’s not strange at all.
