Born on due date - induced with midwives brew!

My daughter was due today 10/9.

I drank the midwives brew on 10/7.

I finished the brew within 20 minutes at 8:48p

I started my first light contractions at around 10:15p

My water broke at around 12:15a at around 2 hrs later

My contractions picked up very quickly after that

I labored at home with my doula for 12 hours (as I was prepared for an unassisted home birth) but she was not completely above my cervix and twisted slightly so seemed to be making very little progress

Went to the hospital at 12p on 10/8 and was immediately brought up to my room, skipped triage since water broke and contractions were active

I was checked moments later and was 2cm dilated and 100% effaced

I labored at the hospital from 12:30p on 10/8 to 12p on 10/9 (her due date) and found out that I was still stuck at 8cm for the past 6 hrs. The contractions were so bad by then, with so little progress, that even though I was only 2cm from pushing, I opted for them to take her via c section (my 2nd c section). This was a TOLAC.

They were amazed at how strong my uterus was despite having a previous c section, as it was taking to pitocin very well to get me from 8cm to 10cm, though it did not work.

She was born at 1:30p on 10/9, today! Her due date! I am so excited!
