What are the benefits of nuts?

Currently pregnant with my third baby! I've eaten nuts with both of my pregnancies and I've been hearing recently nuts are bad for allergies in babies etc? Surely it can also be beneficial to developing babies???

You can eat nuts while pregnant. Exposing them to things in the womb is different than feeding them food outside but I'm pretty sure it's been shown that you should give your kids common allergy inducing foods early instead of keeping them away from them. They have these little allergy food sprinkles to be able to expose them to very small amounts if predisposed to the common allergy foods.

You can eat allergens while pregnant and breastfeeding. New research says early exposure (through breast milk or pregnancy) is good for preventing allergies. 
It’s not a guarantee that your child won’t have food allergies… but this is just what the research says at the moment.
