What could this be??

Question

Hoping someone could help me identify/ tell me what to do that could help or soothe the redness. About 5-6 months ago I ended my engagement and moved, and right after leaving I got this red patch under my nose and the past 6 months it’s just gotten worse it doesn’t hurt or anything but it’s just a red blotch and it gets extremely dry I always have to put 
 lotion on my face to help it not be dry. I’m extremely self conscious about it and always attempt to cover it with make up last time I went to the dentist the hygienist literally asked me what was up with my face and it broke my heart it is so embarrassing and idk what to do idk if it’s from stress or maybe Something going on with my skin, has anyone had this???. It’s usually not this red but I just got out of the shower and washed my face so it always gets red.

Have you visited a dermatologist? Could be rosacea? Something you are eating? Products you are coming in contact with. Since this has been going on for months, I think it’s time to reach out to a professional.

Maybe seborrheic dermatitis? A dermatologist would be able to tell for sure.

I got this before and it was a face wash I was using! Do not put moisturiser on it because it most likely has scents in it or things that may irritate it more put olive oil on it and get to a dermatologist

Looks like perioral dermatitis. I had this happen and it started as a small dry patch and then the more I would try and make it better the worse/redder/ dryer larger areas it would get. Google that and see what you think.  For me it is stress induced. Some ppl get it bc of certain products, but for me it's always started by a stressor. The first time I got it. I had just gotten my first teaching job at a middle school and it made it worse bc I was in school and trying to cover it with makeup. My dermatologist told me to use vanicream products. No scents or parabens. She gave me the bar of soap and the moisturizer of that brand. No makeup or any other products until it cleared up.  For really bad flare ups I have required a long regime of antibiotics. Good luck!

Maybe it’s the face products you are using? I noticed that some products can make my face red and also certain products are not meant to be used at the same time… good luck girly 💕 it will get better.

Put sea moss (gel) on it everyday

I had this!! Perioral dermatitis. Don’t put any scents/fragrance on your face and go to a dermatologist/doctor. I had tricortone (a steroid cream) and it worked like a charm!! Need prescription for it though so go to doctor
