17weeks anxiety

I'm having so much anxiety lately. I'm worried about my baby, I'm overwhelmed with life. I've started seeing a counselor. But the last few days I'm so scared when I find her heartbeat on my doppler, it's just the placenta and something is wrong.

I had a mmc at 12 weeks. And this is my second pregnancy. I'm just really scared something is wrong again.

I'm not cramping or bleeding. I just need reassurance I'm not totally alone.

I googled how to relief miscarriage anxiety I was feeling so much worry too. My first pregnancy was an early loss. I still worry but one of the sites had statistics and said at 17 weeks and beyond your baby has a 99.5% chance of being born so I just remind myself of that number anytime I worry. Those are pretty good odds mama! We’re doing everything we can to bring these babes into the world healthy and happy and we deserve to enjoy our pregnancy instead of worrying it away. Having anxiety is out of our control so we just gotta find the positive thing to focus on when our mind runs wild. I also scroll tiktok when I just need to distract myself lol whatever works! You’ll feel loads better when you start feeling baby is what I’ve been told too I have anterior placenta so I’ve got to wait longer but hopefully you’ll feel those little movements soon!!

Just try to think positive thoughts. It’s ok to be worried that’s normal, but allowing yourself to obsess about it isn’t healthy for you or baby. I’m 19 weeks and I also miscarried my first at 11+3. I use the Doppler very sparingly, once a week at most. Using it frequently can increase your stress. Just try to relax and know that no amount of stress is gonna change the outcome. Praying for you and your lil one.

I lost my first baby entering the last trimester. But, what has happened once doesn’t have to happen again.I do what depends on me and keep my mind positive: I listen to affirmations and meditations for pregnant everyday - it really helps me a lot to have a right mindset. Mental hygiene is important: I don’t watch news or anything that can make me anxious. Currently I’m reading self help books and books for moms to be.
