Working from home/with a baby
I need advice. I am 6 months pregnant and work from home. Luckily my husband works from home as well. We do have a lot of meetings though and I have to answer calls from time to time. I also non stop have to answer emails as well.
I tried looking up daycare options and we just cannot swing it. I am terrified for when my maternity leave ends and I’ll have to work from home with the baby. I know I can switch off with me and my husband but I know I’m my soul it will be so hard.
My husband isn’t worried about it at all and thinks it will be a piece of cake and my mom isn’t concerned either. She thinks we have a great opportunity which we do but I am just terrified. What if the baby is crying when I am on a call???
My mom offered to come up on a day she works from home and watch the baby where she doesn’t have any meetings but that is also going to be tough on her as well!
I don’t think we can afford to hire someone to come to our home for a few hours a day as well. That would have to be like 20 dollars an hour of not more. We do live near a college so I was thinking possibly a college girl can come for a couple of hours a day at the house if I find them on Care.com. We could probably swing that.
I am just so terrified honestly. It might be fine but I am prepping for the worse.
