Starting own business

So I want to start my own crafting business bc the current job I have keeps me away from my kids way to much so I want to do something that keeps me at home with them (I'm a single mom and my mom watches them while I work) but I don't even know where to begin or what I'll even need to do so... I want to make something of myself bc scrubbing toilets (I'm a custodian at a school) is not something I want to do for the rest of my life.. Any ladies on here have their own business and can throw me some pointers? Please and thank you!!
