What’s something unusual/different that you eat at the thanksgiving dinner?

I’m looking for ideas since I’m hosting this year. We will have a turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy for sure. We are not fans of stuffing or the green bean casserole or sweet potatoes/yams (I like them but no one else does) what’s something unusual at your thanksgiving dinner ?

Apple salad:
2 granny smith apples
2 pink lady apples
1 medium container heavy whipping cream
1/4-1/2 cup icing (powdered) sugar 
1-2 tablespoons vanilla
cinnamon, to taste
Core apples and chop into bite size pieces (do not peel).
Place metal bowl and whisk attachments(s) in freezer until cold (15 minutes or so).
Pour whipping cream into cold metal bowl. Add icing sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Whip with cold beaters until light and fluffy. 
Add apples and stir until all are coated with whipping cream.
Pour into a serving bowl and sprinkle more cinnamon across the top if desired. 
(This recipe is great on pancakes, waffles, and French toast too.)

I learned a few years ago that not everyone has baked mac and cheese along with their Thanksgiving meal. That’s always been a must for my family and l.

Not super unique, but less common: mashed turnip (or rutabegga) and carrots. Just boil them, mash em, add a bit of butter and maybe brown sugar if you like it really sweet, and serve. We only have this with holiday dinners and I love it!

There's no thanksgiving where I live but we do a big dine around Christmas time. 
I particularly love Brazilian shrimp stuffed pumpkin 
It has to be in a particular type of pumpkin, we call it moranga but the translation seems to be Cinderella pumpkin?

Our Thanksgiving meals always include duck, usually freshly caught. Sometimes we even have fresh caught deer. We also have sweet fruit salad. It's made of cool whip, cherries, grapes, strawberries, blue berries, and whatever other fruit we choose. While it's common here in the South I've come to find that sweet potatoes aren't  served the same in different regions of the US. We have candied sweet potatoes topped with whipped marshmallows and baked in the oven.

Something my family calls; ‘green crap’ lol
It’s basically cottage cheese, whipped topping, optional-fruit cocktail and your choice of jello powder. ( we usually use lime-hence the ‘green crap’ name) All mixed together. 
Orange is really good. And so is raspberry.
It’s a family traditional jello salad. Only made at family gatherings/special events. Like Thanks Giving.
It’s strange. But always one of the most popular dishes for young and old.
