Is it OK to ask neighbor to use their vacuum?
My next door neighbor is constantly asking for stuff.
My husband used to let her borrow our lawn mower until it broke and now neither of us has a lawn mower.
She has asked to use our hair clippers
(which I said no because I think it's gross. My husband uses it on his body, she wanted to cut her sons hair.)
This morning she asked if she can borrow my vacuum.
I'm super annoyed and triggered because she's always asking for stuff. I usually never have what she needs so I usually just say sorry I don't have that, but she knows we have carpet and a vacuum cleaner so I don't want to be mean and say no, but I also don't feel comfortable with it.
And what makes me feel worse is that she's always offer stuff to us. I never ask for anything and she shows up at my door with clothes that don't fit her kid anymore or just random stuff. I have told her thank you, we have enough clothes. The kids have too much and she continues to bring it to me. Although I am thankful I feel guilt.
I am not sure what to say to her.
She text me two hours ago, I just saw it because we barely woke up. My one year old was up all night coughing. We fell asleep around 3am.
