Can we talk about yeast infections
I’ve struggled with yeast infections my whole life. This year I have probably had around 5 or 6 yeast infections. I went to a gynecologist a year or 2 ago for frequent yeast infections and she wasn’t much help and didn’t give me any advice or testing. I don’t wear underwear, sleep naked, don’t douche and only wash with water. I make sure me and my partner are clean when we have sex. I take the garden of life 50 cfu womens probiotic. I always try otc treatments 3 day, 7 day. They don’t work well for me and recently started making me spot and bleed every time I do try them. I don’t take them often or anything, only when I have an infection which lately is every month or every other month. I tried boric acid and it also made me spot and bleed and didn’t really help. I heard boric acid kills the good and bad bacteria and only works for less than 10 percent of yeast infections anyway. I’ve heard some drs say probiotics are good for the vagina and flora health and some say it doesn’t affect it. I’ve lost count of how many fluconazole I’ve taken now. And they also make me spot and bleed now when I take them. I’m in my early 20s and I have a regular cycle. I’m not on birth control. I’m healthy, my diets not too bad. Theirs only a few more things I can do to help that I don’t want to do. Stop having sex, only take showers, completely change my diet. I’m gonna have a mental breakdown if this keeps happening to me. Please share your own experience if you have had similar to mine. Tips, testing, what worked for you? Advice? I know it’s not just me that goes through this.
