Is it weird that we don’t drink?

My husband and I don’t like the taste of alcohol, and he’s somewhat allergic. I do find it hard to find friends since people always bond over drinks and sports. I have an excuse of not drinking since I am pregnant. But when we hang out with neighbors, they all drink, so they usually don’t invite us for their casual meet ups.

It’s weird to me that people don’t want to hang out with you just because you don’t drink. Like does everyone have to be drinking for them to have fun? My husband and i don’t drink for religious reasons and nobody has ever cared.

No it isnt weird.  We dont drink and dont associate at gatherings or with people while drinking is going on.   Theres absolutely nothing good that comes from it. Even if it is fun in the moment long term it's never good.  It's not weird it's simply a personal choice
