My baby keeps crying!

My two week old baby spits out pacifier and starts crying right away. She waits until I put the pacifier back in her mouth to calm down. The problem is that she keeps spitting it out and cries every single time. How can I avoid this issue? Can I even avoid it? My husband takes care of her at night while I take care of her during the day. She is well nourished and take care of. Still she seems unease while sleeping and even when she is awake. She spent a couple of days in the NICU when she was born, I’m not sure if that’s why she seems very upset and unease most of the time or if this just how newborns behave? (sorry for my ignorance) one thing we try to avoid is to hold her for long periods of time which now I’m starting to believe that maybe that is why she seems upset. However, today I held her for at least two hours and she slept so peacefully. The problem starts when I put her on the crib, she starts crying her lungs out. I’m not sure what to do anymore, any advice will be gladly received!
