Is 9 weeks too early to announce pregnancy?

I’m going to be exactly 9 weeks on thanksgiving. I miscarried at 6 weeks last time so I’m not sure if I should wait until after 12 weeks (which my mom is advising) or if I should do it on the upcoming holiday. What do you guys think? When did you announce?

You should do what you want to do. There is no wrong time to announce in my opinion. The more people who know the more love and prayers being sent your way. All pregnancies/babies deserve to be celebrated regardless of how long they last. ❤️

I announced with my first on thanksgiving she was due June 31st so even younger than this one will be. I understand the hesitation & am sorry for your loss. I too have experienced this & felt the dread but I also believe each life is a gift & deserves to be celebrated no matter what. I hid my miscarriage & it was so lonely for so long & I was so bitter.

Share when you want to! If you feel you could use the support of family, then share sooner. 12 weeks isn’t some magic number that means you definitely won’t miscarry after that, just less common, and on the other hand, it’s statistically less likely to have a second miscarriage than having one mc (possible, but not as common). I personally don’t plan to share until I’ve heard a heartbeat AFTER the point of my furthest-along mc OR hear a heartbeat at two separate visits, but that’s because I’ve had 4mc & have never made it past 7wks—I once thought I’d made it to 10wks, but ultrasound showed it was a “blighted ovum” (died at embryonic stage). I might share at Christmas, though we’ll be home for Thanksgiving. Depends on when I can get an US.

Do what ever you want I announced first at 7 weeks second at 7 third at 7 4th I waited till we had gender announced at 13 then lost the baby at 18 I just got pregnant with my rainbow baby and announced the day I took the test so 4 weeks ! It’s your journey 🖤

I had a few miscarriages before my daughter so I waited till 20 weeks to announce, I’m currently pregnant again 7weeks and I plan on waiting till after the first trimester and maybe till 20 weeks again but just depends how hard hiding it gets.

When you announce or the emotions you allow yourself to feel (excitement, hesitation, etc) will have no influence on the heath of your pregnancy. However, it could affect the amount of support you receive, no matter the outcome. Personally, I’m announcing as soon as I see baby is inside my uterus, but I do believe life should be celebrated regardless of how long it lasts. It’s solely up to you and when you feel comfortable announcing. 
I’ve miscarried early too. In fact, I miscarried just the last cycle. It sucked, and I understand the hesitation completely.

There’s no right time to announce your pregnancy. Everyone announce at different times for different reason. Some don’t announce early because they may have miscarriage and then they have to explain what happened. Some wait until 20wks because that’s half way and baby pretty much there now and they know the sex and if everything is going good. 
With my older kids I announced once I found out. With my son I announced to my kids because I was have complications and was scared I was having a  miscarriage. This time I don’t plan to announce at all because my older kids don’t want another siblings.

I had a previous miscarriage too and I'll be 9 weeks on Thanksgiving as well. I think we are going to announce to parents and grandparents then but wait until Christmas to announce to everyone else. Do want you want though! It's completely you and your SO decision nit anyone elses!
