Single moms… do you only date men with money?

Im a single mom of one boy and always wondered this. ..
Should I be going for men with money? Never had in the past. I cared more about their personality..
I still do. But it seems the richer men arent the kindest.
after many years, Ive fallen in love with a man who makes about $40-50 an hour, with clients, hes a personal trainer. Doesnt consider himself rich though. Rents a basement at the moment as hes trying to get out 
But OH MAN hes amazing in every damn way.
Im just internally struggling with how his “status” isnt so high. I know it sounds selfish and bad, but its so different getting into a relationship when you’re a single mom..

It sounds selfish and immature. You’re not anywhere near ready for a relationship if you only care about the money he makes and his “status.” Which is one of the grossest statements. 
Money doesn’t buy love and happiness. Money doesn’t create bond. Money doesn’t make a good parent. Money isn’t everything you know. 
Status means nothing.

If you're trying to only date a guy with money that makes you a gold digger. Like maybe instead of trying to be a gold digger get a job make your own money .then go for someone who makes you happy . Cuz if you literally only look for a guy with money you're teaching your son that he has to be rich have a lot of money so he can get somebody like that he's looking for only to be with someone who has money and that's a gold digger.

I’m a single mom here and I feel offended by this. This sound like one of those stereotypes kind of question. Just because a woman is single (mother or not) doesn’t mean she’s waiting for a rich guy. Again, just because a woman is single doesn’t mean she want to throw themselves to rich men. I personally have dated man in a great position money-wise, yet they are pure asshole and think just because they have it all women would just stick around to their bullshit. not me my friend not me. You can have 5 cars, 10 houses, 4 boats, and I will still take you out of my life if I feel I’m being played any how.

When I was a single mom, it was never about money. It was about stability. He had to have a job and be independent. I wanted a man on the same level as me. If he made less, it wasn’t a big deal, just would have to have goals to better himself and I’d be there for support. When I met my husband, he wasn’t rich but he was independent and stable. That was enough for me.
