Constant cough
I'm going to try and make this as brief as possible, but generally just concerned with his health. So I have a 3 year old and a almost 2 year old who started daycare back in June. Since they started they both have consistently had some caliber of a cough which I understand is common in this setting. What I'm concerned about is how often it's progressed into a worse deeper and phelgmy cough specifically for my 3 year old. He has what seems like little to no immune system as he's had the flu multiple times, pink eye twice, hand foot and mouth and many many colds. The cough he gets and currently has wakes him up at night and in the morning is usually so phelgmy he gags.
He gets vitamin D drops daily but refuses to take his multivitamins, he's not a great eater but will eat his fruit and yogurt quite well.
Is there anyone else that is going through something like this or can recommend how to keep this little guy healthy?? Anytime I've brought this situation to a doctor they seem to just brush it off because of covid and a cough being common at daycare.
*Edit to add* I am also currently 38 weeks pregnant and have been trying to justify them staying in daycare part-time when baby comes so they can continue to see their friends that they have grown to LOVE and to allow baby to have a little one on one time to start. This situation is making it incredibly hard to justify them staying. If there is anything I can do to keep them healthy and not be bringing home a million and one bugs that would be great!
