Car seat with newborn
Reading all kinds of things right now and have scared myself silly over positional asphyxiation while my baby is in her car seat. We only use it in the car and she’s buckled correctly, but I’ve read that their oxygen levels can lower even if they’re buckled properly. I’m obsessed with making sure her chin doesn’t touch her chest and she’s so tiny looking in the seat, it all just scares me. I’m still sitting in the back with her every time we go somewhere. Can someone ease my mind that baby will be okay and I can sit up front/drive alone with her again? With my first we were always told baby was perfectly safe as long as he wasn’t in the seat outside the car and we also didn’t know anything about the 2 hour rule, we drove him everywhere all the time and he was and is just fine but now that I have this information I can’t get it out of my head.
