What is considered a fever for a newborn?

My daughter is two and a half weeks old and I went to kiss her forehead and noticed she was sweating. I took her temperature with a forehead thermometer and it was 99.4
Is this a fever? Not really sure what to do right now… 😰

100.4 but taken with a rectal thermometer. Forehead thermometers for newborns aren’t accurate enough.

If babes temp reaches 100.4 at 2 weeks old, you need to take babe to urgent care or the ER. 
If babe is sweating, make sure babe is dressed appropriately. Newborns can overheat easily. To know if a babe is comfortable in how you dress them, tough their back or chest. If warm and not damp, babe is good. If coke, add layers. If damp/sweating, remove layers.

If it gets closer to 100.4 I'd get going to urgent care. My son had a uti at 6wks
