Would you recommend tubes in kids ears if absolutely needed?

My son got them last year. Now they are clogged and need removed badly. They didn't help at all and have only made things worse. So while yes they help alot of kids just know they can fail too. Its always a risk but I'd say go for it If your doc recommends

Yes absolutely, in the second grade I had the blue tubes which back then they called them infant tubes, then in the fourth grade I needed them replaced and got the grey tubes and they called them the t-tubes or adult tubes. With them I had significantly less ear infections. The only thing is I had to be careful with getting water in my ears. With my first set of tubes I also got my tonsils and ￼adenoids￼￼ taken out as they needed to be removed. That was also the best decision my parents made as I don’t get a sore throat often.

Yes for sure! One of my daughters was constantly getting bad double ear infections and at 16 months old she had tubes placed and never got ear infections anymore! 🙏
