normal bleeding?

i started my period on sunday, it is now tuesday so it’s day 3 or so. they usually last about 5-6 days. but i feel like it’s heavier than normal? i’m changing my tampon about every 30 minutes, is that normal? i’m thinking about making a gyno appt but i’m curious to see if anyone else has this issue

You might need to change the absorbency of the tampon. Are you using super or super plus at all? 
My cycles changed so I used to bleed really heavily… like I weighed 112 and used an ultra tampon or else I’d bleed through everything else within twoish hours. Then it changed on its own and I could use super tampons during my heavy days.

If it’s completely full every 30 minutes with a super level of absorbency please call the nurses line and let them know. That is concerning imo. I bleed very heavily, but that is not a normal level of heavy in my opinion.
