Would y’all consider this wrong and unprofessional?

So I have been unhappy at my current job but wanted to find another before leaving. I just got an offer last night and accepted it. Before this the owner kept asking me if I planned on leaving and said that someone told her I wasn’t happy. I never answered her but am I wrong for thinking that what she did was wrong?

I don’t think it’s unprofessional. She could’ve been willing to work with you if you would’ve been honest and told her why you were leaving. The only thing I would consider a tad unprofessional here is you complaining to coworkers about your job and plans to leave.

No. I think it makes her a good manager. If she heard you were unhappy she probably wanted to see if she could address it with you.

No, what you did was slightly unprofessional. You could’ve communicated with your boss, it sounds like they were truly concerned about you being unhappy & would’ve tried to remedy the situation. Good luck at your new job.

I think as a manager asking why you were unhappy was the professional approach. A good manager should know their staff and try to make them happy so they don’t leave. I don’t think she did anything wrong. Sounds like you were venting to a colleague and they may or may not have been professional depending what was said

Two things here: 
1.) As others have said your manager might have been interested in helping fix whatever issues you had that made you want to leave. However, I still find asking someone that question before they've broached the subject with you as a manager is unprofessional (but see part 2).
2.) I find the fact that she found out before you spoke to her about it a bit fishy. If you'd been telling another employee you were unhappy and planning to leave, prior to telling your manager, then that is also unprofessional. The not answering her part not so much, but that situation would only happen if she'd somehow found out from a source that's not you, and is definitely a result of your actions in telling coworkers.
But good luck in your new job! Try to remember you should be 'friendly' with your coworkers, but not 'friends'. It's all-too-easy to let slip conversations that shouldn't be had with coworkers when you become 'friends'. Especially of the venting kind, and you should never vent *at* work, *about* work.
