New sibling and sleep regression
I am exhausted. My (almost) 3 year old is sleeping worse at night and keeping me up more than my 2 month old. I knew she might regress some, but I didn’t think it’d last this long and it seems to be getting worse.
Please give me all the advice and help! She used to be a great sleeper, very occasionally would wake once crying but would go back to sleep pretty well. Never really slept in our bed before.
Now, she wakes up and stays up for HOURS. She comes out of her room and crawls into bed with us. In my sleep deprived state there’s been a few times I didn’t catch it so now she’s wanting to more and more. But now even when we let her stay in our bed she won’t fall asleep. If we put her back in her bed she’s back up shortly after and eventually starts just going to the living room and trying to watch tv and play with toys even though we don’t let her do that at night.
We have a hatch and she knows she’s not supposed to get up until it’s green, but has zero effect on her actually not getting up. I know we’ve been inconsistent with whether we put her back in her bed but it’s tough as a lot of times she’ll get up when I’m busy feeding or soothing baby. HELP!
