My babe is teething and declining to eat. What’s my option?

I’m planning to stop his bottle today. But he is teething and not touching food. What should I do? He turns 1 couple days ago. What food I should offer him?

You don’t have to take the bottle the day they turn one. My son is 12 months and getting his top two teeth and won’t eat either or will only eat a little bit so milk is most of his calories right now. You can switch to a cup if there’s one that they’ll take.

Don’t stop the bottle if baby is taking it until they are eating good again.

I would wait until this teething is over to make major adjustments to his feeding routine. You don’t need to stop the bottle right on his first birthday as long as you work on weaning it soon. You can do it gradually. 
When teething he doesn’t feel good, it’s normal to have different eating habits/not want to eat when you don’t feel good. 
Offer him whatever foods he’ll eat in the mean time! And then when this passes you can start to take away the bottle. We did it gradually.

COLD FOODS! Put your baby’s sippy in the freezer for a few and fill it with their favorite juice, IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM.

If he’s in discomfort and will take the bottle, I’d keep on with it until his teeth come through.
If you’re dead set on cutting bottles now though, nice soft foods like mashed potatoes, cold blueberries, bananas
