Iron pill side effects

I’m supposed to take 325 mg of ferrous sulfate 2 times a day. I took my first dose 2 hours ago and I took it will an apple, water, and pistachios. I never have an appetite in the morning so it wasn’t a large meal. I feel super sick. My stomach is upset and I’m so nauseous. I don’t even want to take the 2nd pill tonight because I just feel awful.

Is this a medication that the side effects will resolve within a couple of days or should I request a different type?
