Anyone’s June baby dislike receiving praise? I’ve noticed my son getting particularly upset about certain praises at home, like when we praise him for going potty on the toilet. His teacher also pointed it out today, saying when they give him positive attention at school he gets very defensive and upset, and rejects it.

The only reason I can think for this is because at his old school he was pretty much only receiving attention when he was doing something wrong. So maybe his confidence is really low? I dont know, it just makes me sad because he’s being told he’s doing a good job (and we are very specific with our praise) but he gets so upset :(
