It has been happening since my baby shower last year in June when they brought along MILs granddaughter, A, which A was tearing open my gifts, spilling soda into my gifts, and throwing my baby stuff into the dirt. ALL of my baby shower pictures included her tearing my stuff apart. It was an all around horrible horrible day. Ever since then no matter what event we have whether it be a party or it just be an outing we invite them for/vise versa, they ALWAYS bring A even when A’s parents aren’t working. When this happens my MILs attention solely is on A because A will get jealous. She has even smacked my daughter when she was a few days old. I’m usually left in the back as MIL and A will take off walking/running fast so a lot of the events we go out and do without my fiancé I’m left alone. I so badly want my MIL and my baby to bond but they never can with A here!
