Please give advice. Thank you!

My therapist just told me he’s retiring next month. This means he left all his patients without notice or referrals.

All he said was for me to call my health insurance. It’s been terribly hard to find a therapist. I told him this and he text me about a website. Not helpful at all.

This is so last minute. He knows I need lexapro & Xanax and not every doc has authority to give this prescriptions out.

I’m having a tough time with holidays around the corner.

He could have announced this months ago. Or retired December.

Anyone has been through this with their Xanax prescription? And how do I find another doctor if my general doctor has no availability dates till February.

I feel like crying. Should I just text my doctor that I really need a personal referral from him? I’m not giving up and suffering from withdrawal’s symptoms and anxiety/Insomnia. Any advice for me ? I feel on my own w my health insurance company. They gave me a list and there was a dentist in the list and a gyno and one was geriatric!
