My husbands grandma told us when we first found out we were having another baby that she wanted to buy the crib. We had no problem with that so I picked out one that I absolutely love. Now keep in mind I do not get along with my husbands mother at all and I avoid her at all costs. She is not allowed at our house and hasn't seen out two children in a year because her and her boyfriend are truly awful people. Well his mother took it upon herself to call his grandparents and tell them she got us a crib instead, before she even reached out to us mind you, so his grandma pretty much said okay whatever (they don't get along either). When she told my husband I said thanks but no thanks because I simply don't want it since I already picked one out. Well my husband being who he is just couldn't tell her no and she dropped off this nasty ruined crib that she found when cleaning out someone's trailer. I am so mad right now because now his grandma thinks we have a crib so she's not getting us one and I now feel stuck with this nasty crib that I don't want all because his mom can't respect boundaries and my husband can't tell her no. I have no problem buying one ourselves however to me it's just the principle of it as I am no contact with his mom and he's very limited contact with her yet she felt the need to burden me with someone elses trash.
