So I have been a Christian my whole life but although I believe in God and all that I still can't picture in this day in age only having sex with one guy in my whole life. I have a purity ring but I don't wear it anymore please HELP

My husband and I were both virgins til our wedding night (just a few months ago, woohoo!). Best decision we ever made :) Sex takes a lot of trust and you only want to do that with someone who is 100% committed to you. At first sex can be awkward and messy and a little embarrassing, I can't imagine having to deal with all that during the dating stage. But because we waited we got to learn and experience it together. And of course we got better. That shared experience binds us and it's like having the best secret with the person you love most in the world.

I am a Christian as well and I believe the bible teaches that sex is for marriage. I encourage you to read your bible and have a strong relationship with the Lord because He will guide you to the one He has for you. Sex creates an emotional bond and each time you experiment you don't realize you attach to that person creating emotional confusion. The world will tell you that permiscuity is natural but ask the Lord. Guard your heart and your mind, seek Godly wisdom and he will give you discernment in all your desisions including your lifelong mate. The one He has for you will be all you need. Trust God.

All I can say that any choice you make is okay. There isn't anything wrong with waiting and there's nothing wrong with having sex. If you do have sex though, be safe.

Personally, it's up to you a God. I wasn't born a Christian so I had pre-marital sex but my now fiancé was raised in the church. 2 years after we started dating, we both joined his family church, gave our lives to God, got baptised together & stopped having pre-marital sex! We are 4 years in now & are getting married in May, that will be about 3 years we've been celibate & we knew that was the right thing in order to be close to God & to figure out where we wanted to go in terms of our relationship. Listen, sex is great but it's not all it's cracked up to be if it's not with the right person & if you will feel ashamed afterwards. If God is #1 in your life, you have to honor all he has set us out to do, He does it to protect us, not to punish or keep us from a good thing!

Waiting decreases the heartache. I wish someone would have set me down and explained to me why it was important to wait. I loss my virginity to a guy that I end up marrying and later divorcing. I only married him because he was first and I felt there was too much time invested in him. Realized after many years that I was never in love with him but because he was my first I felt an obligation. Spent half my life with him only to be married for 3.

I waited for my husband. I have ZERO regrets because I didn't have intercourse with the wrong guy. We slept together before getting married, but I waited until I was old enough to handle the potential consequences, knew I wouldn't regret it, and was comfortable with him. I came very close before, but trust me - everything's better when it's with your soulmate.

The only reason I say to do it now is because you can't get into a marriage without being completely comparable with him. And if your not comparable sexually things won't go well. Just how sex ruins relationships it could ruin a marriage too. I'm also not saying to go around a sleep with every boyfriend or guy that catches your attention. I'm not saying wait till marriage but you should wait for the right time when you know it's right because I ended up not waiting and now that I'm married I wish I had because it's not just sex. When you meet the right one it's a very special thing and it bothers me that my husband wasn't my first and that I wasn't his. Hope this helps (:

Why fall into the hands of this world? Why be like how society expects you to be? Waiting till marriage with the right man will be so worth it. And sex isn't something to be thrown around, your virginity is precious, don't lose it cuz you don't want to be with just one man.
