Anyone know what's going on??

Hi i was 6 days late on my period it started on day 7 but had it two days taken a test but it was negative. Now I  have stopped bleeding what could this be?

You didn’t ovulate when expected. If you ovulate later than expected, this will push back the onset of your period or a potential BFP. It’s very common to spot a little prior to the onset of your flow. It’s due to the decline in Progesterone. When it plummets, it triggers our flow. The uterine lining sheds in layers, so it’s common to experience intermittent bleeding or spotting before, during and/or after a period, and sometimes there isn’t any active bleeding from the vagina. That doesn’t necessarily mean the uterus has stopped shedding..that’s normal.
