If your kids are no longer in a crib, what are they sleeping in now?

Trying to decide which type of bed to do for my toddler now. We have the conversion to make his crib a toddler bed but we'll hopefully need the crib in June for another baby. I could buy another crib but I'm not sure if it's worth it or if I should just do a mattress on the floor or a twin bedframe? What are your kiddos sleeping in?

Twin bed (IKEA). I let my toddler choose. I converted the crib to the toddler bed and put a twin bed right next to the crib. After about two weeks he switched to the twin bed and now that’s where he sleeps. We are also hoping to be using the crib in June ;)

We have a floor bed. It’s Lightning McQueen because my son was obsessed for a while. It’s still with his original mattress from the crib but he’s so big now (in the 97 percentile for height and weight) that we’re switching him to a twin floor bed around Christmas time

We got a full size floor bed. We transitioned be hen she turned 2 because I was pregnant and I wanted to transition way before the baby came
So she wouldn’t feel like all these changes were happening at once.
The transition was super smooth, but yes, the first few nights she tried to escape. Eventually we put a lock in her room for her safety because her room is upstairs and ours was downstairs, and I was super scared of her falling in the middle of the night. A couple of nights later and she never tried to escape again!

My son went into a standard sized single bed the night of his 2nd birthday, and surprisingly have had no issues whatsoever. We had a lock on his door imagining that he would be wandering the house during the night but he literally never leaves his bed- when he wakes he lays there until we come in, or sits up and calls out for us. There was never any issue with the change/transition either, leading up to his birthday we talked about how he was getting a new big bed soon so he was excited

My daughter slept in her converted crib to toddler bed for one night, a month after her 2nd birthday and hated that it was still cramped like her crib. So she’s been in a twin size, normal bed frame ever since, which has been almost 6 months now. She’ll also just sit in bed and play with stuffed animals until I get her up for the day, or she’ll get down and play too. But she’s 99% percentile height so can get in and out of a normal size bed without assistance. :)

Regular twin bed, she hated the toddler bed because it was still so cramped so after about a week we just got a twin bed. She’s loved it and goes straight to our room when she wakes up or closes her door and plays a bit but her room is directly beside ours so we hear her and know she’s up. She will be 3 in April.
