Severe Preeclampsia

Destiny

On 9/29 I went to the Dr for an NST, as it was fling they were taking my blood pressure. Literally just sitting there my BP was 195/112… I got rushed to the nearest NICU and was admitted. I was in the hospital for a month being poked and prodded and monitored. Eventually my symptoms got too severe and we had to deliver. 10/25 Baby girl was born at 28+5 at just 1lb 13oz.

Turns out my placenta was slowly killing itself and was somehow more “mature” than baby was. Had it not been for the Dr that diagnosed me with gestational hypertension when everyone else dismissed it, my baby or me could be dead… so grateful to him and just a reminder to watch your blood pressure… it gets serious very fast. Just wanted to share my story for anyone else who’s in the same boat or has questions on preeclampsia.

Baby is doing amazing. She’s a week old now. I have to watch her from a box and it’s hard…
