IUD? Sketchy doctor..

Question

So I had an abortion (suction) and they never asked if I wanted to go on birth control after I was wondering could they have placed an IUD in me right after my abortion how can I check? This place was so sketchy and weird.. i was so drugged up idk if he could have placed on or not

They are not required to ask you if you want birth control or to even talk about it. Some do and some don't, but if you knew you wanted an IUD then you were supposed to communicate that. Never wait for a doctor to ask the right questions, you have to be sure to speak up on what it is you feel, want and of course ask about anything you have concerns about or need more information on, too. Yoy can go to your GYNO now and get an IUD. Yes, an IUD could have been inserted after abortion but it is not a requirement and no doctor is allowed to just implant without asking. And some do not ask at all about your thoughts on birth control, so it is important to let it be known what you want, how you feel and next steps. I wish you all the best!!!
