Just what Monique said… it’s not often that people are successful first round! Just try to not stress, stress is a significant factor. But also it’s so hard not to. Follow what the doctors say and take each day at a time. Sometimes things are completely out of your control. So far we have had 2 unsuccessful IUIs and in my TWW for our 3rd with now a new male factor. If this is unsuccessful we have to take a pause to do anything more. It’s super hard! The meds can cause side effects but just be aware and educate yourself. Guys don’t really understand what we are going thru so it can be hard if your partner doesn’t know how to truly support you, but reach out to friends and family and groups like this!!! I am also working with one tube so statistically our chances of success are cut in half but still possible! It will also be important for the open side to have a mature follicle which should range from 18-22mm when they do the ultrasound/trigger shot. I know tubes can pick up an egg from either side but I feel like if it was that easy we wouldn’t be struggling! Definitely do research on how you can change your diet to include foods that help your follicles grow and aim to drink 3 liters of water a day. Do lots and lots of research on the iui process to understand what you’re going through and what to expect. Baby dust to you! We’re in the 2WW of round 2.

Don’t stress too much! 
My husband and I tried for 3 years before we started IUI. We were able to get pregnant the first round! 🙏🏻
We kept it light and fun. After each appointment we bought a “good luck charm” which was something small for our future baby lol. Idk if that did the trick but it kept it fun and not as stressful. 
Also don’t get your hopes up! We were well aware that most people don’t get pregnant on the first IUI and it helped us not think about it too much and not expect it to happen on the first try. We have three cycles in mind and if that didn’t work we were going to try IVF!
