Can someone please share their understanding and or experience?

I have a friend mine whose been diagnosed with herpes-2 for the last 10 years. She is ready to explore and have sexual experiences with an old acquaintance.

She has informed him of her diagnosis and his question is, what does it mean for him? Curious to know the likely hood that she can give him the virus? She is on anti-viral medication but wants to make sure there is limited risk. Are there other things she/they can do/talk about that could help?

He's open and hasn't cut her off completely however, he has some questions and rightfully so. Please share your thoughts
