Unsolicited advice

Kirstyn
Every woman and their freaking mother (literally) keep recommending at home ways to induce labor and it's driving me INSANE. If one more chick tells me "eat spicy food", "bounce on a ball", "walk, walk, walk", "have sex!!" I'm gonna lose it. They just keep repeating themselves over and over again commenting on my Facebook. I know I'm hormonal and overly bitchy at times right now but seriously it's so annoying.

And they don't work! If it worked for them, great, but the baby was probably coming anyway! I'm so tired of all these old wives tales! Even a membrane sweep is not 100% effective!

I agree. It was very annoying. I just kept saying yep sure. Didn't do any of that. Baby came when he was ready at 39+4 :) without doing anything "special"

I know how you feel! I tried all that and castor oil. The only way I'm going to get my stubborn girl out of me is c-section on Monday.

Lol My mom is the worse!! She really wanted me to have the baby on Christmas... She has been texting me everyday to see if I am progressing and counting down the days til Christmas... Kinda like how long I had to hold her in... And then Christmas Eve and then again in Christmas, she sent me these texts.... Ugh... She will come when she is ready or Dr. Wants to induce me... Lol

I've been doing all of the natural induction methods at home for 3 weeks. I was due on the 23...baby is still cozy in the womb!

I've tried them all. For a good two weeks now and none of them have worked. Even the "proven" sperm relaxes the cervix and helps dilation. No. No it doesn't. I'm still stuck getting induced tonight.
