Membrane sweep

So I’ve been in prodomonal labor for 3 days , went to my 38 week apt I’m 2cm and baby is super super low . I got a membrane sweep and been loosing little pieces of my plug . Does that mean it’s doing something ? I got it yesterday at 11:30 and still loosing it today .
