High cholesterol at 20!!!!!??

I’m 21 (F) 5 ft weighing 117. Everything seems to be in normal range. I just got back my blood results and my cholesterol was elevated at 210. Has anyone else ever had this occurrence??? I’m freaking out!

Coconut, nuts, meat, sodium, genetics, fatty foods, diet, exercise, age, lifestyle, lots of things contribute. You can be 350 and not have high cholesterol or blood pressure just the same at 100 pounds and can. Yes vegans can have high cholesterol too.

Do you eat a lot of fried and processed foods?  Cholesterol doesn't care how old you are.  
Do you have a family history of high cholesterol? Genetics play a part too.

When I was a teen I had high cholesterol because of a medication. My sister did as a teen as well, but hers was lifestyle, she made a few changes and it’s fine now. Talk to your doctor.

You must have a poor diet. Eat wholesome foods, naturally occurring. Avoid added fats and sugars.

200 is the normal level for total
