i’ve been on and off with my boyfriend of 3 years. we’re both 19 and each other’s first love so we’re pretty young still. he’s left me 5 times since we’ve been together for different reasons but has always came back even weeks later. the first time he had feelings for somebody else another time he said “i feel more platonic with you now” and all the other times he was just bored and wanted something new. he’s mentioned that he didn’t love me anymore and he’s told other people he was never in love with me but then later said he didn’t mean it he was just upset and stupid and he loved me more than anything. i’ve never considered leaving and my feelings have stayed the same the entire time. he means the world to me and i don’t think i will ever actually have the desire to leave him. does somebody who is in love ever have the desire to leave them? could he be staying just because he likes feeling loved by me?
