So I reached out to my son's dad and he was really rude. Demeaning and dismissive. I tried to be nice but it's hard to coparent with someone that's calling me a B and being needlessly difficult.

Also he doesn't seem to be all there. He said he was above the gov and does 75 in a 35 , has no license and will never get one and does 100 on the hwy.

Needless to say not safe for my son. Paternity hasn't been done yet but he's my son's dad as he was the only one I was with at the time. Anyway, he kept threatening to take him from me ect...

Idk I just don't think he's needed in my son's life right now, if he asks about him later maybe I'll reach out but I've blocked him for now bc he's too disrespectful and I don't want my son to pick up on that.

Now to the question. I have my daughter's father on child support. I was wondering if I can get tanf cash assistance for my son ? Is this possible?

Also for anyone that tries to judge. I've been trying to work and lost 3 jobs and my car was totaled. I pulled one child out of daycare due to negligence of the staff. I don't have anyone to watch my kids..I can't work with my other child out and I'm more broke than I've ever been.

I'm trying but I need a bit of help.

And I agree Elizabeth. Section 8 is a crapshoot and I am currently on everything. Tanf I'd the last thing..I just don't want them to reach out to this guy bc I'm getting tanf. Sometimes they seek out the dad and I don't want any contact with him.

@Julia he isnt.on the birth certificate thank goodness. But if I say I don't know who the dad is will they leave it alone and just let me get the government assistance?
