When I was pregnant I used to say I didn’t like the idea of being attached to someone every time they needed to eat.. lol 
I planned to exclusively pump but had some formula just in case
I ended up exclusively breastfeeding ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 
I pumped and bottle fed maybe 70/30 the first month, 50/50 the second month then honestly got tired of the upkeep constantly washing pump & bottle parts. 
I breastfeed on demand now at 4 months & pump maybe once a week esp if engorged to get a bottles worth to freeze!

I literally did it all. I went from Exclusively pumping to pumping& nursing then formula& pumped milk then just formula

3 was planned to be breastfed as well but had feeding issues and was formula fed only after 3 months.

First kid - planned to only nurse but had to switch to formula at 10 weeks so I could have a medical treatment not approved for nursing 
Second kids - hoped to nurse but was prepared for formula if needed. She nursed for 9 mo and then had frozen breastmilk until 1 year.
